From people who own a piece

The talented Vivi, though we never met, managed to do more than simply paint a photograph. She captured the glow of my 19-year-old self. Thank you.

Sara Martins, Portugal · *Sara*

Vivi painted Jessica and Romeo. I commissioned it as a birthday gift for Jessica. She has captured them both perfectly and Jessica was thrilled to receive it.

It would be an honour for me to buy this piece. I really like this series but I especially like your efforts to present yourself with the reveals, the self-portrait speaks to that, to me. When you decided to close that series with a self-portrait in a series of goddess paintings, it represented, to me, your quarantine-inspired transition. Shine on.

Portrait commissions

I take a small number of commissions each year. Figurative portraits in oil and mixed media, painted by hand. Each one starts with a free consultation, then a 50% deposit secures your slot. I only begin painting once the sketch is approved.

In Between Two Worlds, work in progress, a child before a billboard goddess
The series · Work in progress, 2026

In Between Two Worlds

A near-future where people still kneel to female archetypes, except the figures they worship aren't human any more. They're humanoids.

In this piece, a child stands in front of a cracked billboard goddess: part woman, part machine, a pink river dolphin drifting past, skulls in the smoke at her feet.

I'm less interested in whether the future is good or bad, and more in who we choose to look up to, and what we've stopped questioning along the way.
